Our story
Objects with tone.
Built on trust.
OBJECT & TONE grew from a simple observation: capable makers can produce remarkable objects, but quality only becomes meaningful when it is selected carefully, explained clearly and delivered consistently.
From banking to brass
A different route into design.
Before founding OBJECT & TONE, I spent 13 years in banking, working closely with business owners across a wide range of industries—including many in hardware and manufacturing.
That experience brought me close to the people, factories and supply chains behind everyday objects. It also showed me a recurring gap: manufacturing capability was abundant, yet genuinely good products did not always reach customers with clear specifications, consistent finishes and a brand they could trust.
OBJECT & TONE was created to close that gap—to bring considered solid brass hardware to more homes with the clarity and discipline that a lasting brand requires.
“A good product deserves more than a listing. It deserves judgment, context and accountability.”

The work behind the object
Still close to every collection.
Today I remain directly involved in how each collection is selected, developed and approved. The work is practical: hold it, measure it, compare it and refine it until the details are coherent.
01
Curate the collection
Select forms and build product families that work together across knobs, T-bars, standard pulls and long pulls.
02
Sample and measure
Review physical samples, verify proportions and dimensions, and assess how each piece feels in the hand.
03
Calibrate and inspect
Compare finishes, color and surface consistency, then carry out hands-on quality checks before approval.
04
Refine the details
Work with manufacturing partners to adjust dimensions, surfaces and structure when a product needs improvement.
Some pieces begin with original drawings, product design and custom tooling. Others are carefully selected and refined until their proportion, surface, finish and specification meet our standards. We describe the work honestly because trust begins with accuracy.
Why OBJECT & TONE exists
Not more hardware. Better-considered hardware.
We believe small functional objects shape how a room feels every day. Our purpose is to make those choices easier: coordinated forms, useful dimensions, tactile solid brass and finish information that helps customers choose with confidence.
A considered finishing layer
Start with the room. Finish with confidence.
Explore coordinated hardware families, then confirm scale, mounting and finish against the cabinetry and materials already in the room.
