Before opening every package, compare the product name, finish, overall dimensions and center-to-center measurement with the approved hardware schedule. Group pieces by cabinet location and retain the packaging until the installation is complete.

For a two-hole pull, center-to-center is the distance from the center of one mounting hole to the center of the other. It is not the overall length.

Standard 25 mm mounting screws are included for typical single-panel cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Double-panel fronts, applied panels or unusually thick materials may require a different screw length.

Measure the total thickness at the mounting point and have the installer confirm adequate thread engagement without allowing the screw to bottom out.

Confirm that the selected projection, overall length and placement will clear adjacent doors, drawers, trim, countertops, walls and appliances. On paired doors, confirm the gap and hand clearance between pieces.

A paper template or low-tack tape mock-up is useful for checking visual scale before drilling.

Work on a clean, padded surface. Keep metal tools, loose screws and hardware pieces from contacting visible cabinet faces or one another. Leave protective wrapping in place where practical and remove it only when the piece is ready to be mounted.

Do not use tape or cleaning products on the hardware unless their compatibility has been confirmed.

Use the same edge, centerline or datum across a run of doors and drawers. Mark every location with an installation template, jig or carefully prepared guide. Check symmetry, reveal lines and sightlines at normal viewing height.

For replacement projects, measure the existing holes directly after removing one piece of hardware.

Confirm the drilling setup on scrap material or an unseen test piece with the same thickness and construction whenever possible. The drill bit, speed and backing method should be appropriate for the cabinet material and finish.

Support the reverse face to reduce breakout and protect both sides from debris.

Secure the front so it cannot move. Drill at the marked centers, keeping the tool perpendicular to the surface. Remove dust before presenting the hardware to the cabinet.

Do not enlarge or force a misaligned hole with the hardware in place; stop and correct the layout with the installer.

Start screws by hand where practical and bring the bases evenly to the surface. Tighten only until the hardware is secure and correctly seated. Over-tightening can damage the cabinet face, distort components or place unnecessary stress on the threads.

After the full run is installed, operate each door and drawer and make a final alignment check.

Door style, drawer height, rail width, appliance clearance, reach and the overall elevation all affect placement. Use published rules as a starting point, then confirm the actual composition and function of the project.

OBJECT & TONE can explain product dimensions but cannot verify concealed cabinet construction or assume responsibility for final drilling decisions.

Wipe with a clean, soft cloth. When needed, use warm water with a small amount of mild soap on the cloth rather than spraying the hardware directly. Remove any soap residue with a second clean damp cloth, then dry the hardware thoroughly.

For textured or knurled areas, use a soft cloth with light pressure and follow the direction of the detail. Do not scrub.

Avoid abrasive pads, scouring powders, hard brushes, metal polish, bleach, acids, ammonia, solvents and strong household cleaning sprays unless product-specific instructions expressly approve them.

Do not leave water, soap, disinfectant or other cleaner sitting on the hardware. Test any uncertain method on an inconspicuous area and contact us before attempting restoration.

In kitchens and bathrooms, dry splashes and condensation rather than allowing them to remain. Remove cooking oils, cosmetics and household product residue promptly with the gentle method above.

Ensure the room is appropriately ventilated and prevent hardware from remaining in contact with standing water or concentrated cleaning products.

Frequently touched areas may look different from protected areas over time. The amount and character of visible change depend on the selected finish, frequency of use, cleaning and environment.

The 10-year limited mechanical warranty addresses eligible manufacturing and mechanical defects under its terms; it does not promise that a finish will remain visually unchanged for ten years.

Use gentle cleaning only. Do not assume that a commercially available brass cleaner or metal polish is suitable: those products are designed to alter or remove surface material and may create uneven color.

Compare appearance in the installed room and expect frequently handled locations to show use differently from untouched samples.

Clean Matte Black, Matte White, Klein Blue, Vermilion Red and Van Gogh Yellow with a soft cloth and minimal pressure. Avoid abrasive action around edges, textured areas and high-contact points.

If paint, adhesive, grout, sealant or another building product reaches the hardware, do not scrape it away with a metal tool. Ask the product manufacturer and OBJECT & TONE for compatible removal guidance.

If a piece loosens, stop using it heavily and check whether the screw is engaging correctly, whether the panel has compressed and whether the base is sitting flat. Re-tighten gently by hand. Do not compensate for an unsuitable screw length by over-tightening.

If the thread, cabinet material or hardware appears damaged, contact the installer or OBJECT & TONE before further use.

If bases do not sit evenly, loosen the screws and inspect the hole spacing, cabinet surface and alignment. Forcing the piece flat can damage the front or the hardware. A qualified installer should correct the drilling or mounting condition.

Include the order number, product name, finish and size, date of installation, panel thickness and clear photographs of the full installation, the affected area and the mounting condition. Describe the cleaning products used and any changes made since installation.

Keep the hardware and packaging while the issue is being reviewed.
