Overview

This website is operated by OBJECTTONE LLC, doing business as OBJECT & TONE (“OBJECT & TONE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of objecttone.com, including all information, content, features, products, and services made available through the website (collectively, the “Services”).

By visiting the website, creating an account, submitting an order, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to the policies incorporated into them, including our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return and Refund Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.

Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to offer products and Services to you.

1. Eligibility and Authority

You must be at least the age of majority in your state, province, territory, or country of residence to place an order through the Services.

If you use the Services or place an order on behalf of a business or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that business or person to these Terms.

You are responsible for providing accurate, current, and complete information when using the Services.

2. Acceptable Use

You may use the Services only for lawful personal or business purchasing purposes.

You must not:

Use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or abusive purpose;
Violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights;
Submit false customer, payment, delivery, or account information;
Introduce viruses, malicious code, or other harmful technology;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, accounts, systems, or data;
Interfere with the security, performance, or operation of the Services;
Scrape, crawl, copy, or extract website content through automated means without our written permission;
Circumvent purchasing limits, security controls, or fraud-prevention systems; or
Use our products, photographs, descriptions, designs, or trademarks for unauthorized resale, reproduction, or commercial exploitation.

We may restrict or terminate access to the Services when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.

3. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to present product descriptions, dimensions, materials, finishes, photographs, and pricing accurately.

However:

Colors and finishes may appear differently depending on screen settings, lighting conditions, surrounding materials, photography, and manufacturing batches;
Minor variations in tone, texture, brushing, patina, or surface appearance may occur;
Dimensions may be subject to reasonable manufacturing tolerances; and
Product images may not always represent exact scale.

These normal variations are not necessarily product defects. This does not limit any remedy available when a product is materially different from its description, sample, or applicable consumer guarantee.

Customers are responsible for reviewing the product specifications and confirming the required size, center-to-center measurement, projection, finish, quantity, cabinet thickness, and installation compatibility before ordering or drilling installation holes.

Where available, we recommend ordering an eligible sample before placing a larger hardware order when finish matching is important.

4. Product Use and Installation

OBJECT & TONE products must be installed using appropriate tools, fasteners, measurements, and installation methods for the applicable cabinet, drawer, door, or furniture material.

Unless a product description expressly states otherwise, our cabinet hardware is not designed or certified for use as:

A structural support;
A safety rail or grab bar;
A child-safety device;
Load-bearing hardware; or
Hardware for exterior, marine, or other unusually corrosive environments.

Professional installation is recommended when the customer is uncertain about measurements, drilling, cabinet construction, fastener selection, or installation safety.

OBJECT & TONE is not responsible for damage caused solely by incorrect measurements, improper drilling, unsuitable fasteners, misuse, unauthorized modification, abnormal conditions, or installation inconsistent with the product instructions. Nothing in this section excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

5. Orders and Order Acceptance

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the products shown in the order.

An order confirmation acknowledges that we received your order but does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch the order or otherwise confirm acceptance.

We may reject or cancel an order before dispatch for legitimate reasons, including:

Product unavailability;
An obvious pricing or product-information error;
Suspected fraud or unauthorized payment;
An unsupported shipping destination;
Violation of purchasing limits or these Terms; or
Circumstances that make fulfillment unlawful or impracticable.

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the amount collected to the original payment method.

We may limit quantities purchased per person, household, account, payment method, address, or order where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, resale abuse, or inventory disruption.

6. Order Changes and Cancellations

Contact us within 12 hours after placing an order if you need to change the shipping address, modify the order, or request cancellation.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request, but changes and cancellations are not guaranteed once processing has begun. After an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled, and the applicable return process will apply after delivery.

7. Prices, Currency, and Payment

Unless otherwise stated, prices are displayed in United States dollars. Where the website displays another currency, the amount may be converted based on the exchange rate applied by Shopify, the payment provider, or another authorized service.

The final price, shipping charge, discount, and any tax collected at checkout will be displayed before payment is submitted.

You agree to provide valid and authorized payment information. You authorize us and our payment providers to charge the total amount shown at checkout.

Your bank or payment provider may apply currency-conversion charges, international transaction fees, or other charges that are not imposed or controlled by OBJECT & TONE.

8. Pricing and Website Errors

We may correct typographical errors, inaccurate descriptions, incorrect prices, or omissions at any time.

If an obvious pricing or product-information error affects an order, we may contact you for instructions or cancel the affected order and provide a refund. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

Promotional prices and discounts apply only during the stated promotional period and while eligible products remain available.

9. Shipping and Delivery

We currently ship to the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Orders below US$150 are charged US$9.95 for standard shipping. Orders with an eligible merchandise subtotal of US$150 or more receive free standard shipping.

Orders are normally processed within 1–3 business days. Estimated transit time after dispatch is 5–8 business days.

Orders are fulfilled and shipped directly from China using established cross-border logistics providers and local delivery partners. Applicable import duties, import taxes, and customs charges arising from the cross-border shipment are covered by OBJECT & TONE through a duty-paid delivery service.

10. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

Eligible products may be returned under our voluntary 30-day change-of-mind return policy, subject to the eligibility requirements and exclusions in our Return and Refund Policy.

Damaged, defective, incorrect, incomplete, or materially misdescribed products are handled separately from change-of-mind returns.

We do not currently process direct change-of-mind exchanges. Full return instructions are available at:

Nothing in these Terms or our Return and Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Samples and Design Sample Credit

The Design Sample Credit program is available to eligible customers in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

Eligible Samples

A customer may purchase up to three eligible standard, in-stock sample pieces from the following categories:

Cabinet pulls;
Cabinet knobs;
T-bars; and
Standard long pulls.

Appliance hardware, clearance products, custom products, made-to-order products, and products specifically identified as ineligible do not qualify.

Credit Amount

The Design Sample Credit equals the actual eligible sample merchandise amount paid after discounts, up to a maximum of US$50.

If the eligible sample merchandise amount paid is less than US$50, the credit will equal that lower amount. The credit does not include shipping charges, taxes, or other fees.

Using the Credit

The credit may be applied to one later eligible retail hardware order with a merchandise subtotal of at least US$250, calculated after discounts and before shipping and taxes.

The credit:

Must be used within 60 days after it is issued;
May be used only once;
Cannot be combined with another discount code, promotional credit, or offer;
Has no cash value;
Cannot be exchanged for cash;
Cannot be applied to a previous order; and
Cannot be transferred or resold.

The credit reduces the price of eligible merchandise only and does not reduce shipping charges.

Sample Returns

Sample purchases are final sale and are not eligible for voluntary change-of-mind returns.

This final-sale condition does not apply when a sample is damaged, defective, incorrect, materially misdescribed, or subject to a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

We may reasonably verify eligibility and prevent duplicate, fraudulent, or abusive use of the Design Sample Credit program.

12. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotions and discount codes may be subject to additional eligibility requirements, dates, product exclusions, minimum purchase amounts, and usage limits disclosed with the offer.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

Only one discount code or promotional credit may be used per order;
Discounts cannot be applied after an order is completed;
Discounts have no cash value;
Discounts cannot be transferred or resold; and
Discounts apply only to eligible merchandise.

We may cancel or refuse a promotion that is used fraudulently, contrary to its stated terms, or as a result of an obvious technical or pricing error. This does not affect completed purchases where applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Intellectual Property

The website and its contents—including product designs, product names, collection names, trademarks, logos, photographs, videos, graphics, text, layouts, guides, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to OBJECTTONE LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to access the website for lawful shopping and personal reference.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell, license, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit our website content without prior written permission.

Purchase of a product does not transfer any intellectual-property rights in the product design, brand, photography, packaging, or associated content.

14. Customer Content and Feedback

If you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, video, testimonial, design image, comment, suggestion, or other content to us, you represent that:

You own the content or have permission to submit it;
The content is accurate and lawful;
The content does not infringe another person’s rights; and
Any required disclosure of compensation, discount, or free product has been made.

You grant OBJECTTONE LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, and distribute that submitted content for operating, improving, and promoting the business, subject to applicable privacy law.

We will not use customer-submitted project photographs for marketing where we have specifically agreed to keep them confidential.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may rely on or link to third-party platforms, payment processors, shipping providers, analytics services, social networks, or other websites.

Third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we do not own or control, except to the extent applicable law provides otherwise.

A link to a third-party website does not necessarily constitute our endorsement of that website or its content.

16. Privacy

Our collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy:

By using the Services, you acknowledge that your personal information may be processed as described in that policy and as permitted by applicable law.

17. Service Availability

We aim to keep the website accurate, secure, and available, but we do not guarantee that access will always be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

We may update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue part of the Services when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance, platform changes, or business operations.

This section does not affect accepted orders or customer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and its general informational content are provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that general design guidance, finish suggestions, installation information, or website content will be suitable for every project, cabinet construction, environment, or intended use.

Any separate written product warranty offered by OBJECT & TONE applies according to its own terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any statutory warranty, consumer guarantee, condition, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OBJECTTONE LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss arising from use of the Services or products where such loss was not reasonably foreseeable.

Where liability may lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability relating to a particular order will not exceed the amount paid to OBJECT & TONE for the product giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply to:

Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
Willful misconduct or gross negligence;
Death or personal injury caused by liability that cannot be excluded;
Mandatory consumer guarantees;
Liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit; or
Any remedy that cannot legally be restricted.

20. Consumer Rights in Canada and Australia

For Canadian customers, these Terms apply subject to mandatory federal, provincial, and territorial consumer-protection laws. Nothing in these Terms waives a right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

For Australian customers, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies those guarantees or any other non-excludable right or remedy.

If a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer-protection law, the mandatory law will apply to the extent of the conflict.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify OBJECTTONE LLC against third-party claims, losses, or reasonable expenses resulting directly from your unlawful misuse of the Services, infringement of another person’s rights, or material breach of these Terms.

This section does not require a consumer to indemnify us for our own breach, negligence, unlawful conduct, or responsibility that cannot legally be transferred.

22. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, unlawful activity, a security threat, abuse of the Services, or a material breach of these Terms.

Termination does not affect rights, payment obligations, accepted orders, or claims that arose before termination. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will remain effective.

23. Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to another person without our written consent.

We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, sale of the business, or transfer of relevant assets, provided that the transfer does not reduce any mandatory consumer right or remedy.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted or removed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

25. No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms and the policies expressly incorporated into them constitute the entire agreement between you and OBJECT & TONE concerning use of the Services and purchases made through the website, except for any additional written terms that apply to a specific product, promotion, or warranty.

27. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

This governing-law provision does not deprive customers in Canada, Australia, or any other jurisdiction of mandatory consumer protections available under the law applicable to them.

28. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our Services, policies, legal obligations, or business practices.

The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Changes apply prospectively from the effective date and will not retroactively reduce rights relating to an order placed before the change.
